Currently Lucas' favourite saying is "oh no!" when he spills, drops or trips over something!
Today out in the garden area of a restaurant where it was covered with pebbles with some low growing bushes there were some red leaves that had fallen off. He went up to the area and said "oh no!" looking at all the leaves on the ground. He started to pick up each leaf and say "oh no" and pick up another leaf and try and hold them all into his little hand.
Am not sure if he's turning into a neat freak with all this "oh no!" tidying up!

Playground
Lucas was sitting in the toy car in the indoor playground and there was this boy who would have been about 7 or 8 years old. He kept on clowning around and he caught Lucas' eye who kept on smiling and laughing when he was crawling around the play gym.
I said to Lucas "are you going to say hello to him?" and so Lucas waved and then proceeded this by blowing him a kiss!
I'm not quite sure what the little boy thought about that but he did keep on doing silly things and seeing if Lucas was looking!

Lucas' baby
Lucas has this little white stuffed lamb which was given to him as a baby.
He has recently started calling this particular toy "bebe" meaning baby and he will carefully place the lamb on the floor and then place a white muslin cloth on top if it and then will pat it (as if patting it off to sleep) all the while saying baby.
It is very touching to see such a gentle and maternal(!) side to him and it's moments like these that we think he'll be a great older brother!

Baby, Teddy & Ta
Lucas is definitely coming out with more new words and keeps on surprising us and here a few recent ones along with dog (his first word), car, na-na (means food, comes from banana), turtle, daddy and mum.
Whilst on the changing table the other day we said to him "hello baby" so as to keep him amused and occupied and he replied back with "baby" (sounded more like ba-bee) but we certainly could understand him and we kept on repeating this so as to hear him repeat it back to us!
Last night I picked up one of his teddy's and said "what's this?" and he said very clearly "teddy!". We then lined up 3 of his teddies and he proceeded to point to each one and say "teddy". Daniel hadn't heard Lucas say teddy (which I didn't know, until I asked if he had heard Lucas say the word) so we got Lucas to point at the teddies again and say what they were and he even gave one of his teddy's a kiss (twice) which I thought was just too cute!
We have been telling Lucas the word "ta" when we give him something or he gives us something and today at daycare he said "ta" for the first time and his teachers were very pleased to hear that! Obviously good manners are very important!
